In darkness I walked and listened to others talk
Even though I wanted to see, it seemed that no
eyes had God given to me

But now by means of God’s grace I have been
given eyes to see in many places
from all directions I can see

Enlightenment has engulfed me
Eyes covers me from head to feet
Oh the things I see, they are too deep

What I see is a mystery to me
I see! I see! I see!
Oh God tell me what it is that I see?

When the sun was shinning on you
I was content to walk in the darkness of your shadow

I had no light of my own
The light was on you and not on me

I couldn’t see so I trusted you
To tell me what was in view

You lied to me
Telling me the sun was shinning on me
I couldn’t see for myself
So I trusted what you said
Even though I felt no warmth from the sun

You told me it was day
when it was night

I believed everything you told me
So I said everything was alright

But at long last God has open my eyes
And now I can see the light

I feel the warmth of the light from the sun
And I know for me that my life has just begun
My God has answered my prayer
He has allowed me to “Do it all over again”
I am blessed and God has forgiven me for all my sins
