| Until I was 15 years old I had an abundance of what I needed and desired and didn’t even know the word “guilt”. From 16 to l8 I experienced not having enough and was very unhappy. At age 19 I got pregnant and once again I had an abundance. But when I was 20 years old I was introduced to religion and was told that God did not like “excess” and in order to please God I must live a “simple” life and not use the world to the full or give in to materialism. Not having an understanding of the Scriptures and being of a literal personality I denied myself of everything my heart craved. |
